One side features the silhouette of the National Emblem of Qatar (crossed scimitars, dhow, and palm trees), beneath which is the national designation "دولة قطر" (State of Qatar) in both Arabic and English. The other side is adorned with elaborate gold Arabic calligraphy, likely translating to a phrase related to patriotism or the National Day motto, such as "يا قطر تبقى حرة" (O Qatar, remain free) or similar celebratory phrasing.
